Privacy Policy

The short version: we don't track you. The only information we hold is what you choose to send us, and we use it only to reply. The contact form is processed by our website host, Netlify, which delivers your message to Harley's inbox.

Last updated: November 2026. This policy applies to bradfordindependent.com and the consultancy practice of Harley Bradford ("Bradford Independent", "we", "us").

What we collect

We only hold information you give us directly. That means the details you type into the contact form, your name, email address, organisation (optional), and your message, or the contents of an email you send to harley@bradfordindependent.com.

We do not collect data automatically as you browse this site. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking on bradfordindependent.com.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies to track you.

The only thing stored on your device is a single entry in your browser's local storage that remembers whether you have dismissed the cookie consent banner, so we don't show it to you on every visit. This is not a cookie and contains no identifying information. You can clear it at any time using your browser settings, or via the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

How we use your information

We use the details you send us for one purpose: to reply to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss or deliver the work you're asking about. We do not sell, share or rent your information to anyone, apart from the technical relay described in the next section, which is necessary to deliver your message to us.

How your message reaches us

When you submit the contact form, your details are sent to our website host, Netlify (netlify.com), which stores the submission in Harley's site dashboard and emails it to harley@bradfordindependent.com. Submissions are kept only so your message can be answered.

If you prefer not to use the form, you can email harley@bradfordindependent.com directly. Either way, your message ends up in the same place.

This website itself does not have a backend database and does not store your form data. The only copy of your message is the email it produces.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018) you have the right to:

  • be told what personal data we hold about you;
  • ask for a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct or delete it; and
  • object to or restrict how we use it.

Because we hold so little, this is straightforward. To exercise any of these rights, just email harley@bradfordindependent.com.

Data retention

We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as is needed to answer you and to keep a reasonable record of our conversation. We don't retain your data for marketing.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change too. Any updates will only apply to information held after the date of the change.
